Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils

The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils (will refer to them as ‘the lip oils’ going forward) were first launched in 2015, in two shades, a clear one – Shade ’01 – Honey’ and a pink Shade ’02-Raspberry’. This Summer saw a third shade launched on the market – Shade ’03 – Red Berry’. And they were  a hit with me from the very first instant I saw them. They looked and smelt lush and they promised shiny, nourished and hydrated kissers!

Formulated with organic jojoba oil and hazelnut oil, each shade has a little extra somethin’ somethin’ to make them unique (which pretty much is a good reason to own them all, if you ask me 🙂 ):

01-Honey – Mirabelle plum stone oil with anti-dehydrating fatty acids –  honey flavour

02 – Raspberry – Antioxidant and regenerating raspberry pip oil – raspberry flavour

03 – Red Berry – Nourishing and comforting annatto  seed oil – berry flavour

I must confess that I for one hate lip gloss with a passion – you’ll almost never see me wearing one. But these may look like lip glosses to you and me, but they are so much more than that! They are absolute perfection from both the worlds of gloss and balm, they look shiny as heck but feel like satin and are non-sticky and non-oily (I find some lip glosses are just too darn oily which makes them disgusting!).

I use the Clarins Lip Oils as soon as I start my make-up routine in the morning- before putting any lipstick on, to prime, hydrate and plump them. And they feel like the ultimate treat for my lips – like they’ve been to a spa or something.

Now their sheer formula  is  absolutely spot-on, but another thing that is very much superb, is the applicator. Yeah, I see you rolling your eyes at me, but  trust me, the applicators are just perfect in size and material, they feel smooth and luxurious, like clouds on your lips!

I personally love shade Red Berry which packs a bit more colour, but love the taste of Raspberry (which my favourite flavour in the world).

These are priced at €21 a pop – so not the cheapest lip thing-ies out there, but they are the ultimate lip care luxury products I feel, so they are worth the investment in my opinion – especially if you’re into shiny glossy plumped lips.

TIP: Make sure you apply the oil on a clean base, and give the applicator a wipe with a clean tissue after use, to avoid any residues going back into the tube
